We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team at British Airways. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft fleet.

Your focus will be on performing a range of maintenance tasks, from component changes and routine checks to general visual and surveillance inspections. You will also be responsible for recording and documenting these changes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing servicing and maintenance tasks as directed on aircraft or components
  • Driving and operation of vehicles, including mechanical handling, lifting equipment and elevated work platforms
  • Maintaining a safe working environment through adherence to quality, health and safety and housekeeping standards
  • Carrying out required IT and documentary transactions
  • Supporting the development of a high performance team and culture

Requirements for the role include:

  • Ability to comprehend technical publications and engineering procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude and 3 months recent practical engineering experience
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
