Job Title: Manufacturing Test Engineer

As a Manufacturing Test Engineer at GE Grid Solutions, you will play a crucial role in supporting current and future equipment introductions for testing HVDC Products. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring the efficient execution of complex electronic assembly testing, diagnostics, and maintenance activities for test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement changes for test equipment to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement test equipment promptly to support manufacturing operations.
  • Work within a team environment to resolve issues and meet manufacturing goals and milestones.
  • Provide training and support to production operators for effective equipment usage.
  • Update and create work instructions, risk assessments, and operator training documents.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for test processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Serve as the competent person for production, ensuring compliance and safe working practices.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in a manufacturing test environment with knowledge of automated test equipment.
  • HNC/HND or Engineering Degree in an electrical/electronic-related discipline.
  • Familiarity with HVDC product testing processes is advantageous.
  • Understanding of IT requirements for test system integration, experience with Ni TestStand/LabVIEW, knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods, and familiarity with ISO standards are beneficial.
  • Ability to work to deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Proficient in English, written and verbal; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
