The Role

EnerMech is seeking a Rigger to join our Cranes and Lifting department on a permanent basis. This role will be part of our flying squad operating ad-hoc trips offshore from Aberdeen. You will receive a retainer salary plus company benefits and day rates for any trips you commence. Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Compliance and Safety
    • Read, understand, and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices, and procedures, ensuring at all times that the rigging/erection work scope is completed in compliance with LOLER regulations and to a high standard of safety.
  • Work Scope Execution
    • Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack/job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings/sketches.
  • Lifting Plans and Risk Assessments
    • Understanding of and development of lifting plans.
    • Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Permit to Work and Support
    • Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) in order to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner.
    • Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.

Requirements

To be successful for this position, you will have previous experience in a Rigging role and experience with inspection, service, repair, and test of all rigging & lifting equipment. You will hold an OPITO Level 3 Rigging Assessment, a Banksman/Slinger certificate, BOSIET/FOET, and an approved offshore medical. A Level 3 Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Loads is preferred but not essential.
