Drilling Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with clients, clients' representatives, marine personnel, and Oceaneering divisions to orchestrate project execution.
  • Study specifications to plan procedures for installation or maintenance activities, considering timing and staffing requirements.
  • Assist project managers in developing procedures and tooling for installations or maintenance projects.
  • Inform Operations Manager of vessel and Oceaneering dock area conditions related to project activities.
  • Direct and supervise riggers and laborers.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to plan and execute work procedures, interpret specifications, and coordinate project phases.
  • Resolve workforce complaints and grievances with supervisory personnel and labor representatives.
  • Collaborate with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve installation and mobilization problems and improve methods.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure adherence to specifications and project schedules.
  • Direct workers on major maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations.

Eliminate waste, suggest environmentally friendly substances and practices, and contribute to environmental improvement. 5 to 10 years of experience in Deepwater Installations. Required skills include offshore survival, offshore medical, valid passport, and knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet. Familiarity with Oceaneering's policies, rules, regulations, business goals, vision, organizational structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, and values is also necessary. Ability to establish and maintain project priorities.

Work Environment

This position involves offshore work, characterized by outdoor and indoor work, day and night, and over/near water. Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks. Physical activity requirements include working in confined spaces, kneeling, jumping, running, working while lying on the stomach/back, crawling, and using repetitive arm and hand movements.
