Salary: £42,336 per annum
As a pivotal member of our academic team, you will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the successful implementation of educational programs that align with our strategic vision and commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience. Your role will encompass direct contributions to student support and the advancement of innovative teaching methodologies throughout the Centre. As the Subject Lead, you will play a key role in the design, development, and production of educational materials and the delivery of content across various modules or within a specific subject area. This position may also involve program management responsibilities for an IY1 program, with support provided through a reduction in overall teaching hours, proportionate to student enrollment.
RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee academic coordination for assigned module(s) in the capacity of Subject Lead. Engage in regular discussions with teaching and support staff to enhance the overall management of programs and the student lifecycle. Act as a deputy for the Head of Department when required. Contribute to the design, delivery, and enhancement of modules offered by the Centre. Facilitate the delivery and assessment of educational provisions. Prepare module examinations and various forms of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students. Maintain and update the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Collaborate with the Student Experience Team and the Registry and Operations Team to facilitate induction, orientation, and registration initiatives. Work closely with the Progression, Welfare, and Support team to assist students in achieving their academic goals. Represent the department at external events, such as enhancement and engagement activities with partner universities. Liaise with the Link Tutor at partner universities to ensure adherence to quality standards and external oversight. Participate in scholarly activities to ensure that module delivery remains current and relevant. CANDIDATE PROFILE A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. A Master's qualification is advantageous. Candidates with a PhD are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience in teaching within UK higher or further education, ideally with a teaching qualification and experience working with international students. ABOUT STUDY GROUP
