About the Role

Five Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Key Stage 4 Educator to join our team at an alternative provision school. As a Key Stage 4 Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting students who are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges.
  • Evaluate and adapt teaching strategies to ensure individualized support and progress.
  • Collaborate with ECT mentors to refine teaching practices and stay up-to-date with best practices.
  • Prepare and deploy learning resources that promote academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Effectively utilize teaching assistants to enhance student support and engagement.
  • Write and submit regular progress reports to senior leaders and parents/carers.
  • Communicate with external professionals to ensure seamless support and guidance.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students who have SEMH needs
  • Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Key skills: patience, resilience, flexibility

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

  • SEND/Mental Health qualification(s)
