Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our expanding team in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will join our Mechanical and Electrical Design team and will be responsible for leading and managing project coordination and delivery, creating comprehensive designs, detailed drawings, and intricate schematics, utilizing a suite of current software tools.
Key Responsibilities- Manage projects effectively to ensure that the coordination of technical elements is achieved to meet project targets.
- Provide full line management responsibilities for the Mechanical team, supporting the growth and development of our junior, intermediate, and senior engineers.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legal and technical regulations, codes of practice, or guidelines.
- Ensure that the designs are delivered within the planned program for projects and that the designs are within budget.
- Provide exceptional proficiency in mechanical building services design and a deep comprehension of technical requirements, legislation, and industry best practice.
- Exhibit a strong commercial acumen and exercise financial oversight, monitoring project expenditure against established targets.
- Lead the Mechanical Team, provide guidance, and act as a mentor to the team.
- Provide professional and technical expertise and advice to all internal and external customers as required, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Professionally qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Proficiency in REVIT.
- Prior experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role working within another consultancy in the built environment.
- Salary: £45k - £55k (Guide only - DOE).
