Job Title: Senior Content Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Content Designer to join our team at Inspire People. As a Senior Content Designer, you will play a key role in designing accessible, easy-to-use public services that work across multiple channels, devices, browsers, and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Management: Manage and quality control the creation, updating, and reviewing of content at all stages of the end-to-end user journey.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior user researchers, service designers, and interaction designers across multiple projects and services.
  • Content Consistency: Work with other content professionals across HM Land Registry to ensure content is consistent and coherent across channels.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use evidence, data, and research to make content decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with senior stakeholders across HM Land Registry to advocate for user needs and build maturity in content design.
  • Service Delivery: Work with the wider project team to ensure that services meet the Government Service Standard, participating in services assessments as necessary to provide content design evidence to support the relevant points.
  • Communication: Present and deliver work within the agile team, at show and tells, and at community critique and feedback sessions.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Content Design Experience: Experience designing content for services, from concept to final delivery.
  • Service Design Knowledge: Knowledge of what good end-to-end services look like and the importance of designing content in an inclusive, accessible way.
  • Evidence-Based Decision Making: Experience of making evidence-based decisions to meet user needs.
  • Strategic Content Design: Developing and contributing to high-level strategic content design for one or more projects, including activities such as audits, plans, and quality assurance activity.
  • Stakeholder Management: The ability to listen to the needs of senior technical and business stakeholders and interpret them in a way that is clear for everyone.
  • Content Performance Metrics: Setting the guidelines and key performance metrics for content performance and showing how you and the team have used that to create actionable insight.
  • Project Content Strategy: Show an understanding of how the project's content design strategy is linked to the organization's objectives.
  • Design Decision Making: Translate user research insights to formulate hypotheses, identify constraints, and make design decisions and communicate these effectively to senior stakeholders in the project team, such as delivery managers, service owners, and senior product managers.
