Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Research & Development team in Slough on a permanent basis. As a key member of our mechanical design business unit, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative Dry Gas Seal products that meet our departmental objectives.

Your primary focus will be on individual development programs, including generating development plans and specifications, designing and qualifying new products, and performing testing and analysis. You will also be responsible for project managing development programs to plan and budget, as well as conducting feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.

We are looking for a creative and inventive engineer with a passion for manufacturing, engineering, and design. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and drive engineering-related projects forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative Dry Gas Seal products
  • Project manage development programs to plan and budget
  • Perform and monitor testing of seal designs
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
  • Provide detailed technical presentations to customers
Requirements
  • Accredited mechanical engineering degree (ideally MEng/MSc or alternatively BEng/BSc)
  • Full knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D drawing with CAD software
  • Creative design capabilities and ability to identify new systems and processes
  • Ability to self-manage projects and ensure on-time delivery
