Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Slough. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Inventor
  • Lead a small team of mechanical design engineers and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Strong knowledge of plastic injection moulding and experience working with medical devices
  • Excellent mathematical ability and knowledge of mechanisms
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
