The Opportunity

As a key player within Frasers Group, you will be at the forefront of managing one of the fastest-growing luxury retailers. Our luxury division encompasses various prestigious brands, and you will report directly to the Store Manager, overseeing a substantial team of over 20 managers in our flagship store.

We are innovating the retail landscape, and with our diverse range of brands, we are redefining traditional retail environments to ensure sustainable growth. Your role will involve demonstrating strong commercial acumen to mentor, support, and enhance the engagement of your store managers, providing inspiring leadership to exceed company objectives. You will act as a business leader for your store, ensuring that business initiatives are embraced with enthusiasm and efficiency, while managing all aspects of store operations, customer service, budget adherence, personnel, and product management.

1. Operations:

Supervise store operations to ensure all KPIs are met consistently. Monitor store performance and hold managers accountable for any shortcomings, offering support and constructive feedback for enhancements. Utilize business communication tools to track task completion and ensure your team comprehends all essential functions. Challenge existing processes and communicate improvements for store operations.

2. Controls:

Ensure weekly wage controls are adhered to, assisting the store team in resolving any issues promptly. Oversee compliance in payroll processing and exceptions, ensuring effective problem resolution. Drive superior performance in wage management through thorough analysis and on-the-floor observations. Coach the store team to adhere to business timelines and guide them with realistic expectations.

3. Sales

Grasp business and customer expectations, ensuring execution to the highest standards. Observe service levels and utilize insights to coach managers on improvement strategies. Understand product features and benefits, guiding the team to convey this knowledge effectively. Propel KPI targets and motivate the team to achieve results. Analyze data and communicate findings with teams for ongoing improvement. Maintain awareness of the retail industry, business challenges, competitors, and customer preferences, demonstrating strong commercial insight. Mentor and guide the team on how to interpret merchandising guidelines effectively on the sales floor.

4. Development

Identify both internal and external talent, leveraging development opportunities and performance management processes to drive exceptional outcomes. Take initiative in your own professional development. Strategize for development and establish clear succession plans for each store to nurture the next generation and support business expansion. Foster an environment that encourages and rewards performance fairly and equitably.

5. Leadership and Management

Act as a brand ambassador for the Flannels brand, both within and outside the workplace. Inspire the workforce and serve as a role model for others. Develop, coach, and motivate your team of managers to achieve success, holding them accountable when necessary. Cultivate strong relationships with store teams, senior management, brand partners, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

The Requirements

Proven experience in leading a large team within a fast-paced, multi-department environment is essential. A minimum of 3 years of experience in luxury and premium retail at a senior management level. Extensive knowledge and passion for luxury retail, including the ability to build brand relationships. A background demonstrating your capability to enhance sales and profits, manage costs, and reduce stock loss, alongside experience managing senior managers. A proven track record of internal progression and development. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Flexibility to work a schedule that meets the needs of the business.

This is a full-time, permanent role requiring availability across 5 days out of 7, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings. The successful candidate should be adaptable to retail hours.
