Role Objectives

  • As a key member of the Business Systems division, you will deliver support for our Microsoft D365 platforms encompassing ERP, HR, and CRM, specifically focusing on D365 F&O (Finance and Operations), HR, and CE (Customer Engagement).
  • Your contribution will be crucial in our significant investment initiative aimed at ensuring a seamless transition to contemporary SaaS platforms by enhancing the expertise and capabilities within the team to effectively manage the new systems.
  • You will facilitate the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across various functions including Sales, Service, Order Management, and Finance and Operations (including Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Logistics) by developing resources, establishing governance, processes, and controls to ensure secure, reliable, scalable, and efficient applications, support, and ongoing enhancement.
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Business Systems, you will possess a robust background in supporting and implementing essential business applications such as ERP and Operations-related solutions on Cloud-based SaaS platforms, ideally with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Your understanding of business application requirements (use cases, processes, regulatory needs, integrations, etc.) will enable you to play a pivotal role in formulating a plan aligned with the new system implementation.
  • As part of the DX programme team, you will collaborate with colleagues across the organization to comprehend how processes must align with business functions and provide insights on their effective implementation within the systems.
  • You will work alongside resources who will significantly contribute to workstreams covering Finance, Commercial, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Ecommerce, Retail, Sales, Marketing, and HR for the DX programme.
  • Your responsibilities will include planning and managing the upskilling of resources to effectively support the business during the go-live phase and in business-as-usual operations.
  • Documentation of Business Systems processes will be essential, as you will support resources to ensure proper support and adaptation for application functionality, environment, processes, and control mechanisms to uphold governance for our enterprise applications and data.
  • Collaboration with enterprise architect resources will be necessary to maintain a comprehensive view of ensuring our platforms are effectively integrated.
  • You will also be part of the team providing third-line support to our Service Delivery team, offering guidance, coaching, assistance, and documentation as required.

Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Support our current modern systems (e.g., D365 F&O, CE, HR), along with some legacy systems/integrations, through the transition to business-as-usual for full D365 F&O Operations solutions (e.g., D365 F&O + Supply Chain).
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio, IT, Implementation partner, and Business teams to gather and comprehend business requirements, rules, and logic, documenting them to facilitate effective configuration and development of the D365 ERP, HR, and CRM solutions.
  • Oversee end-to-end functions within our ERP, HR, and CRM systems to ensure data accuracy and functional effectiveness.
  • Utilize your existing experience with Enterprise applications to understand the necessary business requirements for the 'To-be' platforms and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Coordinate system developments, enhancements, upgrades, support, and incident management.
  • Engage closely with business function teams to provide effective systems support and guidance on D365 system functionality and aligned business processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to ensure KPIs and outputs from Power BI reports and dashboards accurately support business functions.
  • Actively engage in change management initiatives to promote the smooth adoption of new processes and technologies within the organization.
  • Coordinate with the Portfolio, IT, Implementation partner, and Business functions to agree on delivery schedules for system configuration, developments, and testing, ensuring successful implementation, user acceptance, transition to support, and sign-off.
  • Be a vital member of the DX delivery team, driving the team and broader business to achieve strategic goals on time and within agreed cost and quality measures.
  • Work with the Business Systems Lead to develop standards, procedures, governance, and best practice guidelines for managing the enterprise application estate.
  • Utilize Microsoft DevOps and LCS platforms to manage system environments, upgrades, and changes, staying current with Microsoft management services.
  • Create support paths and mechanisms to ensure appropriate levels of support (per business needs) for critical solutions during key trading periods.
  • Act as the primary interface between our internal delivery teams, implementation partners, and business areas regarding systems requirements across the programme.
  • Provide third-line support for our D365 application estate.
  • Collaborate with the Business Systems Lead to build the Applications roadmap, platform, and practices to ensure effective use, support, and improvement, meeting required security and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, J-SOX, PCI).
  • Assess, challenge, prioritize, document, and deliver business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on systems priorities and strategies.
  • Assist in defining KPIs and building dashboards and auto-reports.
  • Perform other duties as required within the scope and spirit of the position.
  • Provide weekly reporting to management on status and progress against plans.
  • Document business requirements for all elements of the ERP system, promoting good data hygiene, security, and GDPR practices.
  • Oversee SaaS platform updates and upgrades as appropriate, following Microsoft advised and MTS desired cycles.
  • Establish processes to monitor, alert, and support the health of applications and integrations, ensuring appropriate uptime, performance, and effectiveness of systems.
  • Evaluate internal controls and implement remediation for significant control deficiencies within your areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure documentation of policies and procedures required to support all aspects of business systems is maintained and up to date.
  • Maintain company records to ensure compliance with Group's J-Sox CLC, FRCLC, and PLC requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures to comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to your responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities as necessary.
  • Demonstrate professionalism across all areas of the role and in interactions with the business and third parties.
  • Strive for continual improvement in all aspects of the role.
  • Adhere to all company administrative procedures.
  • Exhibit strong time-management skills, ensuring timely responses to requests or instructions from management, the business, or the SRI Group.
  • Immediately inform management of any suspicious, unusual, or contradictory occurrences related to normal company processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven knowledge and demonstrable experience in implementing and supporting enterprise-level applications such as ERP and CRM.
  • Extensive experience in implementing ERP solutions with a solid understanding of software development and release lifecycles, integration services tools, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with concepts and approaches for migrating legacy systems to cloud-based SaaS solutions.
  • Experience in gathering business requirements and developing plans for their delivery.
  • Strong understanding of Business Application platform architectures (e.g., SaaS, APIs, AIS).
  • Ability to translate and challenge complex business requirements into effective processes.
  • Capability to upskill team members to proficiency in supporting new solutions.
  • Experience in defining and implementing processes to validate outcomes and verify results of system implementations.
  • A creative problem solver with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels to understand root causes and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of conveying complex technical and business concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining focus on strategic goals and timelines.
  • A proactive individual who is not afraid to make decisions and take calculated risks to drive the product forward, ensuring a balance between innovation, execution, and business value.
  • Strong academic background, including a related computer science degree.
  • Ideally, experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 ERP/CRM.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft cloud SaaS platforms (e.g., Dataverse), Integration (e.g., AIS), and Power Platform/Apps.
