About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Immigration Paralegal to join our team at Gemini Recruitment Services Ltd. As an Immigration Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Immigration lawyers in acting for high net worth individuals, new and established business men and women, and innovative and skilled individuals under the Tier 1 visa categories.

Main Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Department Director and work closely with the Immigration lawyers to provide exceptional client care and support.
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with a range of Immigration matters, and undertake your own advocacy.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Deal with correspondence, prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency, and prepare draft documents, including witness statements and processing evidence.
  • Prepare applications to meet Home Office requirements, including drafting application forms, index of documents, and letters of representation.
  • Attend conferences and court, maintaining accurate time costing procedures and implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with file management and maintain a high level of professionalism in all aspects of your work.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Willingness to work towards Immigration Accreditation and demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of publically funded Immigration Law.
  • A strong academic background with a Law degree and legal experience as an Immigration Paralegal/Advisor.
  • Clear understanding and application of Immigration Laws, business acumen, and the ability to market the Company.
  • Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people, excellent analytical and organisational skills, and the ability to use your own initiative but know when to seek guidance.
  • Committed team player, self-motivated, and professional with excellent IT skills, familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
