About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Emergency Nurse to join our team as a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for leading the team and coordinating the flow of patients through the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team and coordinate the flow of patients through the department
  • Manage patient flow and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care for patients
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
Requirements
  • 1st Level Registered Paediatric Nurse
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support Skills
  • Teaching/assessing qualification
  • Manchester Triage Skill/initial and secondary assessment experience
  • Significant Emergency Department paediatric experience
