About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Emergency Department Lead Nurse to join our team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for leading the team and ensuring the smooth operation of the Paediatric Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Paediatric Emergency Department team and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • 1st Level Registered Paediatric Nurse qualification.
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support Skills.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Manchester Triage Skills and initial and secondary assessment experience.
  • Significant experience within an Emergency Department setting or equivalent.
