Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at NP Aerospace Limited. As a key member of our Quality Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing supplier quality assurance strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier development techniques, with experience in the defence or automotive industry. You will be responsible for leading and undertaking supplier audits, reviewing supplier manufacturing processes, and collaborating with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist - Supplier Development, you will assist in the supplier approval process, assess manufacturing/technology capabilities, and Health, Safety and Environmental risks. You will also work closely with our in-house Engineering, Design and Manufacturing departments to define process parameters and ensure that supplier process capability is effective to meet design intent.

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Management Engineer who is passionate about quality and has a strong understanding of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018, and Defence AQAP's. You will be responsible for coaching and developing internal and external stakeholders in Quality Assurance Tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, First Article Inspection Reports, and Part Submission Warrants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement supplier quality assurance strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality products
  • Lead and undertake supplier audits and report on Key Performance Indicators
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
  • Assist in the supplier approval process and assess manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks
  • Work closely with in-house Engineering, Design and Manufacturing departments to define process parameters
  • Coach and develop internal and external stakeholders in Quality Assurance Tools
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and experience of supplier development techniques
  • Proven history with in Defence or Automotive of supply chain management
  • HND/HNC in manufacturing/engineering or relevant experience
  • Strong and robust team player who can identify issues, self-starter, and provide tangible benefit to the product, process, and service
