Job Title: Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at The Boathouse Youth. As a key member of our Finance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans and forecasts to support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Trustees and senior management, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Grants and Trusts Management: Manage grants and trusts, including maintaining records, monitoring expenditure, and reporting to funders.
  • Accounting and Financial Operations: Oversee the accounting function, including reconciliations, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Payroll and HR: Manage payroll, including staff hours, BACS transfers, and auto-enrolment to pension schemes.
  • Line Management: Line manage the Finance Assistant, providing regular support, supervision, and appraisal.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Relevant financial qualification (e.g. AAT) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge and experience of charity accounts SORP, contracts, and grants, as well as accruals concepts of accounting.
  • Skills and Attitude: Excellent IT skills, ability to work supportively across teams, systematic approach, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year.
