Our international sales teams prioritize our customers to assist advertisers in boosting sales—both on and off Amazon—enhancing brand visibility, and fostering customer relationships through our diverse advertising solutions, including video, display, programmatic, self-service advertising, and advanced ad technology.
Role Purpose:
We are expanding our Global Accounts team to enhance our customer relationships at the headquarters level. We are seeking a Global Client Lead to spearhead this initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
The Global Client Lead will collaborate closely with Global Media VPs and their teams, e-commerce leadership, brand teams, and client media agencies to formulate global Joint Business Plans, operationalize the global partnership, ensure Amazon Advertising's inclusion in critical global media strategies, engage with programmatic and ad tech teams, and address clients' marketing and media challenges utilizing our comprehensive analytics and insights.
Focus Areas:
- Enhance Account Revenue through Global Partnerships:
- Oversee client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant, engaging with stakeholders from Director to C-level in brand marketing, media, data, technology, and e-commerce.
- Educate the client's media and marketing teams, fostering relationships with global brand teams.
- Identify and lead global advertising initiatives that generate additional revenue beyond local budgets.
- Engage with decision-makers at client media agencies.
- Develop and finalize a global media agreement outlining key workstreams, resources, and annual spending commitments.
- Facilitate Local Account Growth through Leadership:
- Generate local sales opportunities by cultivating a network of local account executives across North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Eliminate obstacles that hinder client spending by influencing internal Amazon teams.
- Monitor and evaluate local account performance metrics.
- Establish Efficient Global-Local Processes:
- Continuously enhance global-local sales processes, templates, and tools to promote consistency and transparency.
- Collaborate with Amazon Stores and Retail and other Amazon teams on behalf of the client.
- Drive the quarterly business review process.
About the Team:
The Global Accounts Team is dedicated to engaging with global headquarters-level C-suite influencers that local sales teams do not cover. This team acts as business consultants to Amazon Ads' largest global clients, fostering long-term strategic growth in collaboration with local sales teams. Responsibilities include integration into key global media planning frameworks, engagement with clients' global Ad Tech and measurement strategies, and the establishment of best practices and education on a global scale.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to selling Amazon Ads products and services.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills across partner teams.
- Experience managing global RFPs, including kick-offs, brief evaluations, and client communications.
- Comprehensive understanding of the entire media ecosystem.
- Deep knowledge of global marketing organizations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills for large senior audiences.
