Sirona care & health CIC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Early Years Community Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Health Visiting Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of integrated, evidence-based services for children and their families.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs an Early Years Community Practitioner, you will work in partnership with families to deliver a range of interventions that promote an attuned and sensitive approach to parenting and support the social, emotional, and developmental needs of children. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering the 9-12 month review, a person-centered discussion with parents about their child's view of the world at 9 months.
- Delivering reviews at 3 months and 6 months as part of the Healthy Child Programme offer.
- Delivering specified Support Packages to families, including infant massage when IAIM training is achieved.
- Utilizing group facilitation skills at drop-in baby hubs and cultivating an environment that supports parental self-efficacy and self-compassion.
- Planning, facilitating, and evaluating universal discussion sessions with groups of parents around specified topics linked to the six early years high-impact areas.
- Preparing health promotion boards that engage parents in health-promoting information.
- Leading structured, evidence-informed groups in a community venue or delivering groups in partnership with a children's center worker.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Diploma of Higher Education, Foundation Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant area such as early years education or childhood studies.
- Evidence of a commitment to continuing professional development and reflective practice.
- Evidence of an understanding of evidence-based practice in all areas of practice.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in a range of situations.
- An ability to remain focused on the child and child outcomes when working with families.
- A clear understanding of the safeguarding role of CEYP within a universal service and multi-agency context.
- Knowledge of early child development.
- An ability to work flexibly and be adaptable according to service and service user needs.
- An ability to work autonomously with periodic supervision.
