About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Town Planner to join our team at Hunter Dunning Ltd, a leading architecture and planning firm in the South. As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our region through the preparation and submission of planning applications, providing expert advice on planning matters, and conducting land development assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit planning applications to local authorities
- Provide expert advice on planning matters to clients and stakeholders
- Conduct land development assessments to identify opportunities and challenges
- Attend internal and external meetings to discuss planning projects and policies
- Stay up-to-date with local and national planning policy changes to ensure compliance and best practice
- Prepare monthly progress reports to track project milestones and achievements
- Collaborate with the land and technical teams to deliver high-quality planning solutions
- Support the Planning Director in leading the planning team and driving business growth
Requirements
- Experience working as a Town Planner in the public or private sector
- Degree-qualified and working towards Chartership (MRTPI) or equivalent
- Strong client-facing skills and experience
- Major development experience, with a focus on commercial and residential projects
- Renewable energy project experience is a plus
