Job Title: Adult Safeguarding Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Safeguarding Advisor to join our team at the Wales Medicines Strategy Group. As an Adult Safeguarding Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and support to our staff on safeguarding adults at risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist advice and individual support to staff on safeguarding adults at risk, in line with legislation and best practice guidelines.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of professional practice in relation to safeguarding adults at risk, and assist in collecting statistical data on high-risk families and individuals.
  • Support and empower staff in communicating sensitive and complex information to families and individuals, and review high-risk families with health professionals through safeguarding supervision.
  • Collaborate with the Safeguarding Trainer to review, develop, and implement safeguarding training for staff, and take an active role in multi-agency training.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic and operational policies, procedures, and protocols to support the delivery of services in respect of safeguarding adults at risk.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with a Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in training and development, with expertise in working within a multi-agency framework.
  • Good working practice, with a strong understanding of safeguarding adults at risk and knowledge of partner agencies locally.
