Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Care Manager to lead our team at a brand new children's home in the Bristol area. As a Senior Residential Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care and management within the home, ensuring the well-being and safety of the young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality care and support to the young people.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each young person, working closely with other professionals to ensure seamless support.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, including staff supervision, training, and development.
  • Ensure that the home environment is safe, secure, and motivating for the young people, and that they feel supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including psychologists, OTs, and clinical team members, to ensure that the young people receive comprehensive support and care.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a residential care setting, with a proven track record of managing teams and developing care plans.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, staff, and other professionals.
  • A strong understanding of the needs of young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, and the ability to develop and implement care plans that meet these needs.
