About the Role:

Situated along the picturesque River Dee, Banchory Lodge Hotel is a charming boutique establishment seeking a seasoned Hotel General Manager to elevate our operations. With 28 well-appointed rooms, a versatile function suite, exclusive dining areas, and a welcoming bar/restaurant, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily functions of the hotel, including front desk operations, event management, housekeeping, and food and beverage services.
  • Guarantee outstanding guest satisfaction by upholding superior service standards.
  • Formulate and execute operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee financial management, including budget creation and cost control measures.
  • Guide and mentor department heads to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Promptly address and resolve guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
  • Work alongside fellow leaders to cultivate a positive workplace culture.
  • Engage with external partners to explore business development opportunities through technology, marketing, and supplier relations.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including health and safety, employment law, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager in a high-end hotel or hospitality environment.
  • A dynamic leader capable of inspiring and managing a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical skills for business monitoring, forecasting, and seizing opportunities.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Willingness to engage in operational duties as needed.
  • Outstanding customer service aptitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Robust financial knowledge with experience in budget management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to recognize the need for change and effectively implement improvements.
  • Familiarity with booking systems and channel management.
