Located on the banks of the River Dee in Banchory, Aberdeenshire, with 28 bedrooms, function suite, private dining space, bar/restaurant and fabulous outdoor space, Banchory Lodge is a delightful boutique property, looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to join the business and take it to the next level.

As Hotel Manager you will be responsible for the management and development of the hotel staff. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the hotel runs smoothly and efficiently, responsible for managing all aspects of hotel operations, from guest services to housekeeping, while maintaining the highest standards of service and quality.

You will drive revenue and growth through careful planning and constant market and competitor analysis. A good solid working knowledge of revenue and budget management is essential.

You will ensure brand values and service behaviours are delivered consistently in a professional and friendly environment. You will lead by example, taking some operational and Duty Manager shifts.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, events, housekeeping, and food and beverage services.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Manage budgets and financial plans, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Manage coach and support Heads of department
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other leaders in the hotel support and develop a positive workplace culture
  • Engage with external stakeholders to develop the business through technology, marketing, supplier and other opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulation eg. H&S, Employment Law, Licensing

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as an Operations or General Manager in a high-end hotel or hospitality setting.
  • A charismatic leader with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Analytical skills used to monitor your business, forecasting the future, and driving the team to capitalise on all the right opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work in an operational capacity
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving
  • Ability to identify the need for and effectively impellent and manage change
  • Booking Systems and channel managers
