Location:
Candidates ideally located in the Cheshire region for optimal access to sites in the North West of England.

Compensation:
£27.00 per hour LTD company rate (Umbrella options available). Overtime at X - Door to door pay. Basic annual salary equates to £58,320 (including 4 weeks holiday).

Reimbursements:
Fuel expenses reimbursed at 45 pence per mile. Other business-related expenses covered as agreed.

Working Hours:
45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Typical hours are evenings from 3PM to 11PM.

We are seeking a skilled Engineer with experience in auto electrics for a pivotal role in our client's operations as they adapt to future safety requirements for buses and coaches.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong willingness to learn and engage in a role that involves both mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on fault diagnosis.

Your primary responsibilities will include surveying and installing electrical kits on buses and coaches. This position operates on a self-employed basis through your own Ltd company, with Umbrella solutions available for those without a Ltd company.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer locations to perform installation surveys on buses and coaches.
  • Complete all necessary installation survey documentation thoroughly.
  • Execute initial installations according to manufacturers' specifications, including necessary electrical connections.
  • Test and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Maintain a strong commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, and health and safety, consistently striving for improvement to meet customer expectations.


Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of auto electrics and vehicle electrical wiring is preferred; domestic electrical knowledge may be considered.
  • Must possess own transportation (Van or Car) for travel to designated depots.
  • Ability to utilize various hand tools, including a multimeter.
  • Must provide basic tools; specialist tools will be supplied.
  • Basic IT skills for data entry into systems.
  • Flexibility in start and finish times, as most work will occur in the evenings when buses return to the depot.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
