Location:
Ideally situated in the Cheshire region for optimal access to sites in the North West of England.

Compensation:
£27.00 per hour LTD company rate (Umbrella options available). Overtime at X - Door to door pay. Basic pay equates to £58,320 annually (including 4 weeks holiday).

Reimbursements:
Fuel reimbursement at 45 pence per mile. Other business-related expenses covered as agreed.

Working Hours:
45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Typical hours are evenings from 3PM to 11PM.

We are looking for an Engineer with expertise in auto electrics who is ready for a new contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen interest in a role that involves both mechanical and electrical systems, along with the capability to troubleshoot effectively.

Your primary responsibilities will include surveying and installing electrical kits in buses and coaches. You will operate on a self-employed basis through your own Ltd company, with Umbrella solutions available if needed.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer locations to perform installation surveys on buses and coaches.
  • Complete all necessary installation survey documentation thoroughly.
  • Execute initial installations according to manufacturer guidelines, including required electrical connections.
  • Test and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Work efficiently to meet specified deadlines.

Maintain a strong commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, and health and safety, consistently striving for improvement and prioritizing customer satisfaction.


Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of auto electrics and vehicle electrical wiring is preferred; domestic electrical knowledge may be considered.
  • Must possess own transportation (Van or Car) for travel to various depots.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of hand tools, including a multimeter.
  • Must provide basic tools; specialist tools will be supplied.
  • Basic IT skills for data entry into systems.
  • Flexibility with working hours, as most tasks will occur in the evenings when buses return to the depot.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.
