Position Summary

Nigel Wright Recruitment is at the forefront of advancing operational support services for various public sector entities. The emphasis is on enhancing community outcomes through strategic partnerships. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) division plays a crucial role in this endeavor, providing innovative and reliable technological solutions that support essential public safety services.

As an Infrastructure Architect within the ICT division, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing technology frameworks that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Your collaboration with diverse teams will be vital to ensure that our technological architecture is secure, current, and meets the evolving demands of our organization.

Compensation: £49,000

Core Responsibilities

  • Design Leadership: Spearhead the development of new technological solutions, ensuring smooth integration with current systems.
  • Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in shaping our ICT strategy, ensuring that technology aligns with and bolsters our organizational goals.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Ongoing Enhancement: Promote continuous improvements in our technology services to consistently deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk evaluations to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work alongside suppliers to obtain optimal products and services.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Windows server technology
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Cisco Networking
  • Experience in telephony systems
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Power Apps

Additional Information

  • Education & Credentials: A relevant degree is required, with certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, or Agile being beneficial.
  • Professional Experience: Extensive experience in ICT management with a proven track record of designing and implementing effective technology solutions. Experience within the public sector, particularly in emergency services, is highly valued.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, strategic mindset, and exceptional communication abilities. Proven capability to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships and lead projects successfully.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of best practices for technology design and development, with familiarity in standards such as TOGAF, Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, and ISO27001.
