Job Overview

Position Summary

Nigel Wright Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Architect to join a prominent organization dedicated to enhancing operational support services across various public sector entities. This role is integral to advancing community outcomes through strategic partnerships and innovative technology solutions.

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of technology frameworks that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Your collaboration with diverse teams will ensure that our technological foundation is robust, secure, and aligned with organizational goals.

Compensation: £49,000

Key Duties

  • Architectural Leadership: Spearhead the development of innovative technology solutions, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructures.
  • Strategic Development: Actively participate in the formulation of our ICT strategy, ensuring that technology initiatives support our overarching objectives.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Ongoing Enhancement: Promote continuous improvement in our technology services to deliver exceptional solutions consistently.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk evaluations to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Engage with suppliers to procure optimal products and services.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Windows server technology
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Cisco Networking
  • Experience in telephony systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Power Apps

Additional Information

  • Education: A relevant degree is required, with certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, or Agile being advantageous.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in ICT management with a proven track record in designing and implementing effective technology solutions. Experience within the public sector, particularly in emergency services, is highly valued.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, strategic mindset, and excellent communication abilities. Proven capability to foster stakeholder relationships and lead projects successfully.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of best practices in technology design and development, with familiarity in standards such as TOGAF, Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, and ISO27001.
