As a Solution Architect within the ICT Department, your role is essential in designing and implementing technology solutions that boost service efficiency and effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure our technological infrastructure is secure, up-to-date, and aligned with the needs of our team.

Salary: £49,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership in Design: Lead the creation of new technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Strategic Input: Contribute to shaping our ICT strategy, ensuring technology aligns with and supports our organizational objectives.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and stay within budget.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements in our technology services to consistently provide top-tier solutions.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with suppliers to secure the best products and services.

Further Information

  • Education & Qualifications: A relevant degree, with certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, or Agile being advantageous.
  • Experience: Significant experience in ICT management with a proven ability to design and implement effective technology solutions. Experience in the public sector, especially within emergency services, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills. Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and lead projects effectively.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in best practices for technology design and development, with familiarity in standards like TOGAF, Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, and ISO27001.
