About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Cardiac surgery/ Cardiology or Cardiac critical care nurses to join our team as Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners (TACP). The TACP will work in a busy specialty, demonstrating excellent clinical and communication skills, and working effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake a 2-year Masters programme in Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) to enable independent autonomous clinical practice as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
  • Complete work-based learning in areas related to the specific competencies required to meet the needs of the service.
  • Be allocated a mentor who may be a Doctor or an Advanced Practitioner to ensure successful achievement of clinical skills required to fulfill the role of Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Registered Nurse on NMC register.
  • BSc Nursing/Science or equivalent qualification.
  • Teaching/assessing qualification.

Desirable

  • Post-registration study/qualification in Cardiac surgery/ Cardiology or Critical Care.
