Job Title: Instrument Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and restorative maintenance duties and tasks safely and effectively on installation systems and equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance and support during steady operations, process shutdowns, and start-ups.
  • Isolate and de-isolate in accordance with Company Operating Procedures and Electrical Safety standards.
  • Perform tasks related to fire and gas systems, safety systems, and equipment.
  • Amend software as required and in accordance with the company's Software Change Control procedures.
  • Safeguard the reliability, availability, and operational condition of safety and control equipment and systems.
  • Perform all necessary servicing, conditioning, fault diagnosis, and restorative maintenance duties and tasks safely, efficiently, and effectively.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training course.

  • Rotating Equipment Small Bore Tubing (RESBT) Stage 4.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Petrofac's team as an Instrument Technician. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and restorative maintenance duties and tasks safely and effectively on installation systems and equipment.

You will provide technical assistance and support during steady operations, process shutdowns, and start-ups. You will also isolate and de-isolate in accordance with Company Operating Procedures and Electrical Safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and control systems, with experience in performing maintenance duties and tasks. You will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
