Job Summary:

Frontline Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join their team in Weymouth. As a key member of the Operations department, you will be responsible for managing the company's supply chain activities, ensuring timely control of purchase orders, supply forecasting, and raw material inventory levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders for direct materials based on Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) demand
  • Convert approved indirect purchasing requests into purchase orders
  • Manage purchase orders for timely acknowledgment and delivery
  • Track and manage any known supply risks or purchase order issues (price, delivery date, etc)
  • Expedite/de-expedite purchase orders based on MRP recommendations
  • Manage past due purchase orders
  • Prepare supplier forecasts from MRP recommendations
  • Process supplier returns for rejected materials
  • Place and reconcile orders using the team credit card
  • Set up new parts in the MRP system
  • Review and maintain MRP master data (price, lead time, order quantities, etc)
  • Support Request for Quotation (RFQ) activities and summarize responses

Requirements:

  • Experience in procurement for a manufacturing organization
  • Experience in procurement via MRP or similar
  • Good communication skills
  • Good spreadsheet/MS Excel skills

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 DOE
