About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Operative to join our team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Estates and Facilities Directorate, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality patient support service to wards and departments across the trust.

As a Logistics Operative, you will be responsible for providing a responsive, efficient, and effective service for the movement of patients, internal mail, furniture, materials, and equipment within the site. You will work closely with our teams to ensure that all facilities management functions are carried out to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receipt and distribution of healthcare-related products
  • Transportation of linen cages, waste bins, and carts in and around hospital environments
  • Patient moves (reception to department or department to department)
  • Domestic and reception cover
  • Conveyance and movement of patients by wheelchair, trolley, bed, etc., including assisting clinical staff to reduce risk
  • Movement of deceased persons complying with trust policies and procedures
  • To ensure all waste is collected, transported, and disposed of in accordance with trust policies and procedures and current legislation
