About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Counsel to join our established legal team at VINCI Building UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on and conducting contentious construction matters, including adjudications, and providing legal support to our project and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on and conducting contentious construction matters, including adjudications, and providing legal support to our project and delivery teams.
  • Providing legal advice and guidance to our business stakeholders on a range of construction law issues.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of legal strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and address potential legal issues and risks.
  • Providing training and knowledge-sharing sessions to internal stakeholders on construction law and related topics.
Requirements
  • Significant experience gained within an in-house or private practice of construction law, with a focus on contentious matters.
  • Experience in relation to payment disputes, breach of contract disputes, cladding and/or PFI disputes would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with all forms of dispute resolution, especially adjudication, court proceedings, arbitration, and ADR.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels.
