Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative physiotherapist to join our dynamic and friendly team in the Neath Port Talbot Community Reablement Team.

Our mission is to promote independence and improve the daily lives of patients and their families in the community.

The successful candidate will have skills in managing a range of physiotherapy needs within the community setting and will be able to participate in the development of the physiotherapy service within the multi-disciplinary team.

Continuing professional development is actively supported via clinical supervision and personal development plans, postgraduate training, and in-service training.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and innovative team, contributing to the development of the physiotherapy service and supporting people to stay at home and reduce escalating needs for secondary or social care.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will have the following responsibilities:

  • Managing a range of physiotherapy needs within the community setting
  • Participating in the development of the physiotherapy service within the multi-disciplinary team
  • Supervising other staff, including assistants and technical instructors
  • Continuing professional development, including clinical supervision and personal development plans

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Substantial experience as a band 5 physiotherapist in a NHS rotational physiotherapy post
  • Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of the workings of community physiotherapy services and intermediate care services
  • Contributing to clinical education of less experienced staff or students or assistants

Applicant Requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration and be able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
