About the Role

Cherry Professional is seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the firm's compliance with all regulatory requirements, complaints, claims, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out the firm's compliance with all regulatory requirements, complaints, claims, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Client and Matter Inception team to resolve client due diligence, conflict, and other risk escalations, and liaise with partners, fee earners, and staff members firm-wide.
  • Use trusted sources of information in connection with the review of new business, including on client due diligence and risk assessment, and identifying and facilitating resolution of conflicts of interest and confidential information issues.
  • Work as a member of the Risk and Compliance Team.
  • Work with the Client and Matter Inception Team.
  • Resolve escalated conflicts issues.
  • Conduct and review the AML (client due diligence) risk reports, identifying any issues and escalating these where appropriate.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year previous experience of working as a CDD, risk and conflicts analyst.
  • A willingness to engage with procedures and to become a point of contact on all client onboarding queries with the ability either to resolve them or refer them appropriately.
  • Strong organisational skills and a willingness to participate as part of a multitasking team.
  • Strong analytical, written, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to act positively, creatively, and intuitively when presented with challenges.
