About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, contributing to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement individualised education plans, ensuring students receive tailored support.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, adapting to their unique learning requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic support system, addressing students' needs and concerns.
  • Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in supporting students with SEN, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting student success, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team, contributing to a supportive and inclusive work environment.
