We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Essex. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, providing individualized support and creating a nurturing environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting to their unique needs and abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting social and emotional well-being

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school settingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parentsAbility to adapt to changing situations and priorities, remaining calm and composed under pressureCommitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in SEN education
