About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher to join our team at Ashley Park School, a specialist school catering for young people with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning and emotional needs.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of our pupils. You will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic achievement, social growth, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of pupils with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support pupils' learning, behavior, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment policies.
Requirements
  • Post Graduate Cert Ed/QTS level qualification.
  • Experience of teaching pupils with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning and emotional needs.
  • Knowledge of strategies that relate to the education and personal development of SEN pupils, including effective behavior management techniques and opportunities to praise and reward.
  • Ability to implement a school's vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies, and action plans in relation to classroom practice.
