About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Adept Resourcing Engineering. As an EHS Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve our ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Drive cultural change towards a more proactive EHS approach and sustainable business model, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Develop and monitor EHS risk strategies and plans to minimize risks and safeguard the well-being of our stakeholders.
  • Conduct and lead internal and external EHS audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Carry out task-specific risk assessments and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and practical EHS training to our employees and contractors to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely.
  • Stay up-to-date with UK EHS legislation and compliance requirements to ensure our organization remains compliant.
Requirements
  • A Level, HNC, or equivalent practical experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or working towards Diploma.
  • Experience in Environmental and Health & Safety management, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication, IT, and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively collaborate with our teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with capital projects, preferably turnkey, and familiarity with CDM regulations and COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards).
  • Auditing experience and understanding of management systems to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
