Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Haemodialysis Team at York Renal Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading by example, and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective treatment.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of our clinical services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Band 5 or equivalent nurse.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Registered Nurse (Level 1) qualification and a recognized teaching/assessing qualification.
  • Insight into clinical speciality and standards of professional practice.
