About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our Radiology Team at NHS Lanarkshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clerical support to the Radiology Department, ensuring a high-quality service is maintained to patients and staff.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of departmental operational procedures and computer systems.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
  • Good keyboard skills and ability to enter information into computer databases with speed and accuracy.
  • Experience in dealing with the general public is an essential requirement for this post.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, use own initiative, and work under pressure as part of a team.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and excellent telephone manner.
  • Good timekeeping.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Ionising Radiation Regulations and understanding of how they apply to requests for radiological examinations.
  • Knowledge of radiological examination procedures, departmental operational procedures, and various computer systems.
