About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Advanced Tutor to join our team at Richmond Adult Community College. As a key member of our Digital Skills provision, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to adults with a range of skills needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide line management to established and variable-hours teachers delivering accredited and non-accredited digital and creative technology provision.
  • Work as part of the management team to achieve high standards in teaching, learning and assessment, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that quality targets are achieved, and that the curriculum is delivered as efficiently as possible and is current and meets industry needs.
  • Teach an agreed number of hours annually, and provide a role model of teaching excellence.
About You

We are looking for an individual with excellent computing knowledge and an ability to reach learners at a range of levels. You will have experience teaching any of the following at intermediate to advanced level: Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Programming, Web Development, and Data Analysis.

Applicants must hold a L5 teaching qualification and have a minimum 1-2 years teaching experience. They also must have a qualification above the level they are teaching, for example if teaching at Level 3 they require a Level 4 qualification or a degree. An Assessor Qualification e.g. TAAQ or equivalent is desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
