Helpline Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Helpline Support Specialist. As a key member of our support services, you will provide critical information and support to individuals affected by hepatitis C.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a friendly and supportive team who have personal experience of living with hepatitis C and have been cured through treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about hepatitis C to callers
  • Listen actively and respond with empathy and understanding to callers' concerns
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide a high-quality support service
  • Utilize basic IT skills to access information and manage calls

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Strong listening skills
  • A non-judgmental attitude
  • Basic IT skills
  • The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Excellent teamwork
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality

Commitment:

We ask that our Helpline Support Specialists commit to at least one shift per week, with shifts currently running from 10:30am to 4:30pm, weekdays.

As a valued member of our team, you will be reimbursed for your travel and lunch expenses.

Our Helpline Information and Support Service Manager will provide comprehensive training, supervision, and support to ensure you feel confident and equipped to perform your role.
