Your Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and mentor junior staff members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Encourage personal growth and independence in the young people under your care, tailoring activities to their individual needs and abilities.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and homely atmosphere within the residential setting.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviors with empathy and understanding, prioritizing the well-being of all residents.
  • Collaborate closely with management, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives to ensure a holistic approach to their care.

Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Children's Support Worker or within a similar setting working with young people.
  • Experience in healthcare or social care environments is essential.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People.
