Warehouse Associate

4 on 4 off Days, 06:00-18:00

We specialize in producing and supplying high-quality food products to esteemed UK grocery retailers, the food service industry, and various customers both domestically and internationally. With 22 operational sites across the nation, Cranswick is committed to the growth and development of our workforce.

Our Riverside facility is expanding, and we are seeking a Warehouse Associate to play a vital role in our team. You will be tasked with ensuring the efficient, effective, and safe operation of the area to meet the business's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Issue labels, trays, and other materials to production lines as needed and update the inventory system accordingly. Assist with inventory audits as necessary. Maintain quality assurance and traceability documentation. Keep the storage areas organized and tidy. Participate in training relevant to the role, including regular refresher courses as required. Report any equipment malfunctions immediately to the Warehouse Team Leader. Support during internal and external audits as needed. Uphold high standards of work performance, including attendance and punctuality. Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to ensure timely and efficient product flow. Contribute to key performance indicators related to quality, health, safety, environmental standards, yield, and customer service. Identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, legal requirements, food safety standards, and customer specifications. Adhere to all protocols and processes related to critical control point monitoring, complaints, label verifications, and other documentation within your department. Attend necessary training in accordance with current legislation, health and safety guidelines, and evolving departmental operations. Recognize hazards in the workplace and actively engage in the behavioral safety program. Understand and minimize energy consumption and waste within the department. Perform any other reasonable duties as required, which may involve working in different departments. Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Maintain confidentiality regarding all work-related matters.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing is advantageous. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies. Understanding of customer standards. Capability to meet job expectations.
