Job Description:

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Customs Specialist to join our team at Grafton Recruitment. As a Customs Broker, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all import/export operations comply with national and international customs laws, tariffs, and regulations.
  • Coordinate planned activities with logistics, plants, and warehouses, transportation partners.
  • Prepare, review, and process necessary customs documentation, including import/export declarations, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Understand customer, market, and import/export requirements.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners and third-party transportation partners to determine the most effective way to fulfill the order for the customer.
  • Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry trends.
  • Perform due diligence activities associated with screening processes of third parties, with the ability to check at transactional level.
  • Determine import/export controls, EUR1, GSP, ATR, COO, End Use, IPR, OPR, Import/Export Licenses applicable to the order and coordinate with the trade compliance team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in handling all aspects of customs experience within the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • Attention to detail - exceptional accuracy in handling documentation and compliance matters.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in English written and spoken.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in import and export.
  • Experience in developing work procedures and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret government regulations.
