Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with dispatch supervisors to ensure customer daily requirements are met and shorts are fulfilled.
  • Ensure the shorts sheet is completed and maintained in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock control systems.
  • Keep the retail area stocked and the loading bay/marshalling area clean and tidy.
  • Conduct daily stock checks as required.
  • Inform supervisors of any stock discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure accurate and complete stock records are maintained.
  • Rotate stock in the marshalling area and retail chiller according to established rotation patterns.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Assist dispatch teams as needed to meet delivery targets.
  • Complete any reasonable requests made by management.
  • Liaise with colleagues in other departments to ensure efficient product throughput.
  • Contribute to key performance indicators (KPIs) in quality, health and safety, environment, yields, and customer service.
  • Highlight areas for improvement.
  • Assume responsibility for managing activities that ensure food safety, integrity, legality, and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to all standards and processes related to critical control points (CCPs), glass, complaints, label verifications, and other paperwork in your department.
  • Understand relevant legislation, internal company policies, procedures, codes of practice, technical specifications, COSHH regulations, and developments in HACCP systems relevant to your department.
  • Uphold good housekeeping and hygiene practices to ensure product safety, with particular attention to temperature control and general hygiene.

Requirements:

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office) with knowledge of FOPS and Nav systems.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Awareness of customer standards.
  • Good organizational skills.
