Transport Planner Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to coordinate and plan transportation activities for efficient delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Allocate work to couriers in a fair and transparent manner.
  • Take bookings accurately and advise clients of our services.
  • Implement and maintain Service Level Agreements.
  • Proactively inform clients and fellow employees of any delays or issues.
  • Ensure fleet size is sufficient to service clients during peak periods.
  • Monitor jobs through to POD and completion.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by Operations manager or directors.
Requirements:
  • Manage and exceed customer expectations.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, couriers, and suppliers.
  • Be highly organized and have previous controlling experience.
  • Have good geographical knowledge and excellent punctuality and attendance.
  • Have previous transport industry experience and be able to act on your own initiative.
  • Be computer literate.
Working Hours:

Hours will be between 6am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with out-of-hours phone duties on a rota basis, including weekends.
