Asset & Development Management Associate

Our client, a leading investment and development manager, is seeking an experienced Asset & Development Management Associate to join their team. With a portfolio valued at over £1.5 billion, they are expanding their operations and require a skilled professional to assist in asset management, new acquisitions, small capex projects, reporting, and asset disposals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Management: Assist the Asset Management team with ongoing initiatives, including licenses for alterations, general tenant liaison, and oversight of external property management. Track expenditures and project oversight for ongoing property maintenance matters, site access requests, and liaison with external property managers for service charge matters.
  • Acquisition & Disposals: Coordinate technical due diligence workstreams, manage external advisors, and review due diligence reporting. Assist in the organisation of assets to be sold and coordinate responses to queries from buyers throughout the sales process.
  • Project Management: Lead on small capex projects, resolve non-routine property management issues, and support Development Managers on larger development or complex capex projects. Coordinate external advisors and their monthly reporting and invoicing processes.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Support regular Development and Asset Management reporting processes, attend and minute meetings, and manage legal data rooms and general document management.
Candidate Experience Sought:
  • Experience in acquisition due diligence and disposals process, active asset management, small capex projects, and industrial and logistics as an asset class.
  • Strong team-focused experience, comfortable with domestic and international travel, and experience working collaboratively across multiple projects.
Professional Background Sought:
  • 2+ years PQE RICS (or similar engineering) from building surveying, project management, asset management, or commercial property management pathways.
  • Private sector or public sector experience, large consultancy or project management background, or background within large Propco.
